How to actually use past papers.

Master Core Pure first

Core Pure 1 & 2 underpin everything in Further Maths. Get these solid with past papers before drilling your option papers.

Drill only your options

You only sit two of the eight option papers — practise the ones you're entered for (e.g. Further Pure 1 + Further Statistics 1), not all of them.

Mark with the official scheme

Mark your own work and learn where the method marks sit. Further Maths rewards clear, structured working.

Redo what you dropped

A few days later, redo every question you lost marks on from scratch. That's where the grade moves.

Edexcel Further Maths past papers — common questions.

Yes. Every paper and mark scheme links directly to the official Pearson Edexcel website. The papers are © Pearson Education, so we link to them rather than host copies.
Four papers. Paper 1 and Paper 2 are compulsory Core Pure. Paper 3 and Paper 4 are optional - you choose from Further Pure, Further Statistics, Further Mechanics and Decision Maths. All the option papers are listed above so you can practise whichever combination you're taking.
Summer exams in 2020 and 2021 were cancelled due to COVID-19. Pearson ran autumn replacement series (Oct 2020, Nov 2021) instead, which are included above.
Yes - it's one of my favourite things to teach and a strength for university applications. I'm a full-time online Further Maths tutor (A* in Further Maths myself, First Class Master's from Bristol) and work through these exact papers with students.

All papers and mark schemes are © Pearson Education and are linked from the official Pearson qualifications website. This page hosts no exam-board files. A-Level Further Maths was first examined in 2019; summer 2020 & 2021 were replaced by autumn series (COVID-19).
